I chose to do Good with Boys because I was very adamant about not liking the main character and I wanted to challenge myself. To be frank, I saw myself a lot in the main character with the lovesick obsession and it was quite hard to relive those excruciating middle school feelings, but I was all too familiar with them.
I chose to make my book more words based because contrary to the pictures submitted I am nit great at drawing. I had my roommate help me with sketches because I felt it did need some visual components, but I really wanted to focus on the internal monologue that our main character had throughout the narrative. I also included lyrics from a Mitski song which has themes of self-acceptance and self-reflection whilst in a relationship.
