Gallagher’s article on the formation of pedagogical canons is honestly hard to understand. From what I could grasp, Gallagher is exploring why certain texts are highlighted in syllabi and the canon that is created from its place on those syllabi. Other than this message, I had a tough time understanding what else Gallagher was trying to communicate. Though I tried looking up definitions for pedagogy/ pedagogical it still did not help me to digest the article any easier.
